Recommend June Fest!

Hi everyone!

So, for the surprise I was talking about…

Since this blog is Reading in June, I decided that I should make a big deal for the month of June. So I’m going to do a whole Recommend June Fest! What is a Recommend June Fest? It’s exactly this: A chance for readers to share their favorite books with others for a whole month. Every blogger can do it differently, and here is what my month of posting is going to look like.

A fun author interview each week and several book spotlights throughout each week. I’m not going to limit myself to a certain day a week to post, so please check back here frequently for new posts.

But, that’s not all. I don’t want to be the only one having all the fun. I am inviting anyone that has a blog to join me. I encourage you all to recommend your favorite books on your own blog and be creative, do some random posts just about books. You can set your own pace to post with and even if you only recommend a total of two books the whole month, it’ll still be fun!

You Are Always Good

Hi everyone!

Sorry if it seems like I just drop off the planet. *tries to look around innocent like* Oh well, I'll make up for it in June because I have a big surprise for that month...but I can't tell you what it is yet, so don't ask. And for those of you who know, don't say.

For today though, I'm just going to share a song that was introduced to me recently and it has quickly become a favorite.

1. What is your personality type?

I think I'm an ISTJ, or at less most of the time. ;)

2. Do you prefer summer or fall?

I like both, but probably fall more; just because of the colors and I love wearing fall clothes.

3. City or country?

Definitely both! Seriously! I live in the country, and I love it! But I love the city! I really can't decide which.

4. Chocolate or Vanilla?

For sure chocolate! That was a no-brainer. ;) =D

5. Why did you start a blog? 

So that I can have a place to talk about books and also, when I start editing more, this will help me advertise my services.

6. What is your favorite thing about blogging?

This is selfish, but probably having your blog mentioned on others' blogs. I don't know about you, but that excites me! ;)

7. Favorite classic movie?

What do you consider classic? Probably Pride and Prejudice--any year, they're all good!--or North and South. I love musicals though--and I know this is more than one--so definitely My Fair Lady, The Music Man and The Sound of Music. Anne of Green Gables is always good too. I love them all! =D

8. You've just been elected as president (surprise!) What is the first thing you do once in office? 

How do I even answer this? Um... try to fix... something. I really don't know.

9. Do you have a reading goal for this year?

Yes. I don't really challenge myself that much, but I set a goal of 45 books and I'm halfway there!

10. Is there a missionary or a hero from history (other than Jesus!) who has had an impact on your life?

There's not really one in particular, but probably Ruth from the Bible. She left everything she knew to go to a place where everyone hates you. That's pretty amazing.

11. What are you most looking forward to this year?

The unexpected! Something always comes up and surprises us. I was looking forward to my graduation, but that was last Saturday, so I'm not really looking forward to it anymore... ;)
